Djanbung Gardens is a world renowned permaculture education centre and demonstration farm right on the edge of Nimbin Village.


Designed by permaculture pioneer, Robyn Francis, the 5-acre property has been transformed from an empty cow pasture to a cornucopia of abundance using permaculture concepts including water systems, alternative buildings and technology, organic vegetable gardens, food forest and integrated orchard, poultry systems, bushfoods, bamboo, forestry and supports an abundance of wildlife.


Djanbung Gardens is the home campus of Permaculture College Australia Inc, non-profit education provider.


OPENING TIMES

  • Wednesdays and Saturdays 10am - 3pm for self-guide tours and sales

  • Other times by appointment.


We offer the following range of services:


  • Book Store of permaculture and related books, publications and resources

  • Group tours and experiential activities for schools, universities and special interest groups.

  • Open Days and special community events

  • Workshops on a diverse range of homesteading and sustainability skills

  • Permaculture Design Courses and professional development

  • Venue hire for small private functions with gourmet catering: dinner parties, milestone events, workshops, meetings

  • Venue for community fund raising events
